At Orchidoholics254, our greenhouses are designed to mimic the natural habitats of orchids, giving them the perfect conditions to thrive. But it’s not just about growing plants—it’s about creating a space where people can learn, share, and fall in love with orchids the same way I did.

The idea for Orchidoholics254 came to life during the pandemic. As a Kenyan-born mother of three, I wanted to create something that relieved the stress of lockdowns, curfews, and homeschooling—not just for myself, but for others too. With the encouragement of family and friends, I turned my passion into a community and a business.

Orchids aren’t just flowers to me; they’re therapy. On tough days, I walk into my greenhouse, breathe deeply, and instantly feel lifted by the explosion of colors and patterns. Orchids have taught me patience, resilience, and acceptance—because sometimes, no matter how hard you try, a bloom won’t come when you expect it. And that’s okay.

Caring for orchids is a journey of experimentation—finding the right mix of light, humidity, nutrition, and growing techniques. It’s a constant reminder that growth takes time and that letting go is as important as holding on.

For me, orchids represent healing, creativity, and connection—with nature, with people, and with myself.
