Orchidoholics at the KHS April Plant Sale
Thereās a saying that āApril showers bring May flowers,ā but at 3Zero House this past Saturday, April 18th, the flowers were already in full, magnificent bloom.
We had the absolute pleasure of participating in the Gardening Kenya ā KHS Nairobi District Plant Sale, and what a vibrant day it was! The energy was electric as plant enthusiasts from all over Nairobi gathered to celebrate everything green.
The energy was electric. Plant enthusiasts from all over Nairobi, Kiambu, Westlands, Karen, Runda and even a few travelers from NakuruĀ gathered under one roof to celebrate everything green, growing and glorious.
Bringing the Orchid Magic to 3Zero House
As Orchidoholics, our mission has always been to bring a touch of the exotic to your home gardens. For this one-day-only event, we curated a special selection of our finest specimens. Our stall was a kaleidoscope of color, featuring:
- Vibrant Dendrobiums: From the delicate Dendrobium Bracteosum āYuanā to the striking Dendrobium Spectabile, these were clear favorites among the crowd.
- Elegant Cattleyas: The Cattleya Tenebrosa Aurea turned many heads with its sophisticated hues and effortless grace.
-The Essentials: Beyond the plants, we loved chatting with you about the ābehind-the-scenesā of orchid care. We brought along our signature orchid mixes, breathable terracotta pots, and specialized fertilizers to ensure your new green friends thrive long after they leave our hands.
Connection Through Cultivation
The highlight of the day wasnāt just the sales, it was the community. Whether you were a seasoned KHS member or a curious newcomer paying your first KSh 500 entry fee, the passion for horticulture was the common thread.
We spent the day answering questions, sharing care tips (like the secret to keeping those Phalaenopsis blooming!), and hearing your own gardening success stories. It is these moments of connection that remind us why we do what we do.
